Kumquat fruit and leaves extracted with different solvents: phenolic content and antioxidant activity

نویسندگان

چکیده

Introduction. Kumquat is a good source of vitamin C, as well phenolic and flavonoid substances. In this study, we used various solvents to obtain extracts from fresh lyophilized dried fruits leaves kumquat plant, six mutants, compare their total contents antioxidant activities.
Study objects methods. The content was determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu method colorimetric method, respectively. capacities were commonly tests, such DPPH radical scavenging activity, reducing power, metal chelating activity.
Results discussion. in range 3705–86 329 mg GAE/g extract. amount substance ranged 5556 632 222 QUE/g highest free activity observed leaves. We also found that fruit lower than fruit. According our results, differences studied plants affected properties. with high showed activity. No significant difference detected between rootstock type its mutants. Finally, no obtained fruits.
Conclusion. can be considered functional foods due compounds, which are able neutralize radicals.

Phenolic content, antioxidant activity and effective compounds of kumquat extracted by different solvents.

The total phenolic and flavonoid content of extracts from peel of kumquat were higher than those from pulp, and those extracted from immature kumquat were higher than those from mature kumquat. The highest levels of phenolic and flavonoid content were obtained in hot water extracts. The flavonoids of kumquat extracted from hot water were mainly soluble conjugated compounds, including C-glycosid...
